Jeannine Mercurio, M.S., is an astrologer, writer, teacher and Mom to 14 year old Max. She earned a B.A. in Classics and Dramatic Writing from Gallatin’s School of Individualized Study at New York University and M.S. in Education at CUNY Hunter College, with 30 credits above her Masters in Dance Education from SUNY’s Dance Education Lab and NYU. She has completed coursework at NYU’s Masters in Counseling Psychology. Jeannine was also stand-up comic in NYC for years and years. Jeannine has studied Movement/Dance Therapy/Trauma in the Body work with Dr. Amber Gray and has completed coursework on teaching students with disabilities PreK-12 with Dr. Diane Duggan.

What’s her focus? Jeannine helps clients discover their own ways to kick misery to the curb. Her belief—Creativity changes everything.

Jeannine’s additional training and work experience includes Pacifica Graduate Institute studying under James Hillman (Jungian scholar), workshops at the University of Pennylvania in Positive Psychology with Dr. Reivich, bereavement and grief counseling at Long Island University, and Safe Horizons Family Victims of Homicide Program. Jeannine has also taught yoga and dance therapy workshops for Sanctuary Women in Crisis. She is a member of the National Council for Geocosmic Research, the New York astrology chapter, and C.G. Jungian Institute.

As an educator and counselor, Jeannine holds 18 years of experience within the New York City Board of Education, including K-6 in all subjects and PreK-12 dance. In career counseling, Jeannine has held a post at Columbia University Teachers College.
